Operating in the Coral Triangle
The water between Bali and Nusa Penida sits at the planet's centre of marine biodiversity. These are the commitments that come with working in it.
In short
Active marine conservation, local employment, and operations designed to reduce their own footprint.
- A portion of every ticket supports marine conservation work.
- Over 95% of crew and ground staff hired from local villages.
- No single-use plastic bottles anywhere in our operations.
01 — Environment
Protecting the water we work in
-
Marine conservation partnership
A corporate sponsor of the Coral Triangle Center in Sanur. A portion of every ticket sold supports their conservation training and coral reef work.
-
Responsible wildlife interaction
Captains and crew are trained in responsible marine wildlife viewing, particularly at sensitive sites like Manta Point.
-
A lower carbon footprint
The fleet runs on modern fuel-efficient 4-stroke engines, which cut emissions and are quieter around marine life.
-
Carbon offset and zero single-use plastic
A carbon offset option on private charters through the Trees4Trees foundation, and filtered water in place of plastic bottles.
02 — Community
Investing in the people here
-
Local employment
Over 95% of our crew and ground staff are hired from villages in the Sanur and Nusa Penida areas, with continuous professional training.
-
Supporting local enterprises
Coconuts and snacks served on board are bought daily from local vendors at Sanur harbour.
-
Community investment fund
A percentage of annual profit goes to the Juara Holding Group Community Fund, which partners with village-owned enterprises (BUMDes) on Nusa Penida.
-
Preserving culture
We work with local guides on cultural experiences that are respectful and non-intrusive, and give local artisans a platform.
